Red bar Safety Nets.

Spiderweb Safety nets ensure the highest level of safety for your site

Safety Nets provide a passive protection from falls while allowing people to work at height without restricting their movement.

Safety nets are a large net rigged between a person and the ground for protection in a fall.

safety netting pointsThey are a collective fall arrest system, not a fall restraint system. This means they are designed to save lives and reduce injuries by catching and then absorbing the energy from a falling body. Safety nets also protect those working below from falling materials and tools.

Our fully integrated fall protection systems provide secure fall arrest.

Fall protectionIncrease the level of safety on your building site with our fall protection. It is the backup system planned for a worker, who could lose his or her balance at height, to eliminate potential injury. Safety nets are designed to progressively deflect (stretch) and absorb the energy of a fall, so a falling person is less likely to be injured.

With safety nets, you have the ability for the victim to self-rescue.

Safety net pointsUsing a different Fall Arrest System such as a safety harness, lanyard and static line, you only have minutes to extricate the victim from suspension of a fall, and even then, they can still suffer severe suspension trauma which can lead to death if not handled correctly. With safety nets, you have the ability for the victim to self-rescue if uninjured, or safely remain in the net without causing further injury from suspension trauma, until a time that he or she can be rescued. Other fall arrest systems may include Fall Bags. The concept is the same – they absorb the energy of a fall. However, because these bags are placed on the floor, they take up considerable working space, and do not protect the workers below from falling objects or victims.

Safety points #5The Health and Safety in Employment Act (HSE Act) 1992 requires all practicable steps must be taken to prevent a person at work from being harmed. This means where it is possible for someone to fall from a height while working, all practicable steps must be taken to prevent them from being injured, regardless of whether they are working at height for a short or long time. People who have responsibilities under the law include:
• Employers
• Self-employed people
• Anyone leasing/selling/hiring plant
or equipment in the workplace.
